Past Timeline
Karl Heron is the only grandson of the leader of Daybreak mercenary band. He is Eileene's brother and she is the only granddaughter of Daybreak's leader. He becomes the vice captain of a mercenary band but later he leaves the group when he gets bored of it. He travels around the world looking for a fight with warriors. Eventually, he finds Teo who is the ultimate swordsman. Karl Heron and Teo fight and Karl ends up losing. He ends up joining with the Night Crow and respecting Teo after the battle loss.
He has a troubled relationship with his sister. This is due to Karl leaving the Daybreak Mercenary group without saying anything to her or the other mercenaries. Eileene holds a grudge against him but still cares for him due to the blood they share.
Season 2
He is first mentioned in episode 17 when Orly notices that his skills are similar to that of Eileene and Eileene confronts Orly about how she knows Karl.
He first appears in episode 25 where he is talking to Aquila about a war breaking out and the Seven Knights heading towards the Heavenly Stairs. In the back, a silhouette is seen which happened to be Taka.
Season 3
He appears in Eileene's myth awakening scenario. He makes fun of his sister for blushing about Jave which seems to confirm Eileene's crush for him. After Destroyer Gaze appears, Eileene makes up her decision to awaken and protect Jave and Karl.
He heads to the dark magic research tower where he meets Eileene and Rachel. Karl confesses to Rachel about the accidental death of her grandfather (Karl was given a cursed eyepatch by the Sandstorm family with an eyepatch which possessed him) and after much hesitation, Rachel ultimately accepts to forgive him and forget the past.
Season 4
He returns to the silent Mine as a dawnbreak mercenary with Eileene and when she leaves for the heavens, Karl assumes authority of dawnbreak mercenary corporation. He starts investigating some odd occurrences in the land.

He's very frank and doesn't understand his words can have consequences. He can't stay still in one setting or place and he tends to move and wonder around frequently unless it's part of his mission. He's also good at risk management.
